2012 Caring Kind Employee

For 33 years, Nebraska hospitals have paid tribute to their finest through the Caring Kind Award.  The Caring Kind Award celebrates health care employees who exemplify caring, compassion, and service excellence.   Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) members from across the state select one Caring Kind Award recipient from within their respective institutions to be recognized.  This year, Memorial Community Health is proud to honor Julie Picek as their 2012 Caring Kind Employee.

Julie serves as the Memorial Community Care Director of Nursing.  She is very kind, caring and efficient at what she does, not only meeting resident needs but also staff and facility needs.  She takes a personal interest in each of her staff and each resident. Julie exhibits open communication about work related topics and she is always calmly reassuring about it.   Her position has many challenges but she handles it so well.  Memorial Community Care functions under her calm leadership as Director of Nursing promoting Teamwork and Quality Care.

Julie was recognized at the Caring Kind Luncheon held during the NHA Annual Convention.
