Who generally moves into the senior living apartments at East Park Villa?

Typical residents include those who wish to be free from the day-to-day responsibilities of home ownership including maintenance and cleaning.

Who qualifies to become a resident at EPV?

The facility is a retirement community for persons 55 years of age or older who are ambulatory and in good physical and mental health for their age. Assistance in daily living (with medication, dressing, bathing, etc.) is provided to the residents of the assisted living facility.

Are garages available at EPV?

Yes, garages are available for an additional monthly charge.

May a resident alter the interior decorating, such as wallpaper or paint at EPV?

A resident may alter the interior of their room upon approval from the facility manager.

Who generally moves to Memorial Community Care? 

Individuals who are needing a higher level of care may want to consider nursing home care, such as MCC.  Nursing homes are able to provide a broad range of assistance from general observation, cueing and stand-by assistance, all the way through to full assisted care with transfers, feeding and every day activities.

Are there certain qualifications to live at MCC?

There are screens that need to be completed prior to an admission to any nursing home that include a review of both mental/physical health as well as financial assessments (Medicaid only).

May we alter the residents' room of MCC?

We love to remind residents and families that MCC is your home and we want you to be comfortable in your home!  Maintenance at MCC do a wonderful job of keeping our rooms updated.  We are unable to make changes such as paint color, but do encourage the hanging of pictures, decorations and any additional objects that bring a home-like environment to the room.

Can you receive rehabilitation services at MCC?

MCHI provides MCC with a wonderful outpatient therapy program.  If you are unable to qualify for a skilled stay through your insurance at a hospital or another nursing home, please consider MCC as a rehabilitative option!  MCC also provides a restorative program whose purpose is to maintain current abilities.

How you stay active within the facility?

MCC has a wonderful activities program to keep residents engaged, active and involved in their community environment.  Please feel free to reach out to the facility to review the most current monthly activities schedule to get an idea of activities offered.

How do I pay for MCC?

MCC is considered a nursing home in which payment options include private pay or Medicaid.  MCC does not require residents to be private pay for a certain length of time prior to needing additional assistance such as Medicaid.  If you are needing additional assistance to pay for care and are not yet on Medicaid, please reach out to the Social Services Department who can assist in providing additional information on the Medicaid process.
