A gentle approach to birthing.
Memorial Community Health is pleased to offer HypnoBirthing® classes for expectant moms and their birthing partners. Hypnobirthing focuses on using one’s own natural birthing instincts for achieving a satisfying, relaxing, and more comfortable birthing experience.
Through visualization, relaxation, special breathing, and meditative practice, HypnoBirthing teaches expectant moms how to release the fear of childbirth that can cause stress, pain and tension. Using these techniques, the body’s natural relaxant, endorphins, replace the stress hormones that constrict and cause pain. Moms will not be in a trance or sleep state, rather will be fully aware and in control, yet profoundly relaxed.
Classes are open to all expectant moms and their partners, regardless of choice of healthcare provider or planned place of delivery.
