Caregivers Support Group

Beginning in August, Memorial Community Health, in conjunction with the Alzheimer's Association, will begin offering a monthly Alzheimer's/Dementia Caregiver Support Group meeting.

Meetings will be held the fourth Thursday of each month from 2:30-3:30 PM in the Memorial Hospital conference room and will be conducted by Memorial Community Health's social workers - Jennifer Heiden and Jessica Frenzen - who have been trained by the Alzheimer's Association as group facilitors.

The support group is a safe place for caregivers, family, and friends of persons with dementia to develop a support system, exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions, and learn about community resources.
