Elia Ledezma Receives NHA Caring Kind Award
Memorial Community Health, Inc. (MCHI) in Aurora is proud to announce that Elia Ledezma has been named a Nebraska Hospital Association Caring Kind award recipient for 2024. For 45 years, the Caring Kind award has been given to Nebraska's most caring healthcare workers – those who have demonstrated compassion for patients, cooperation with co-workers, and dedication to excellence in their job responsibilities.
As a Registered Nurse at Memorial Hospital, Elia brings her own special qualities and medical skills to the MCHI Team. Whether she is working as a floor nurse, charge nurse, or in the emergency department, Elia has a calming effect on patients and is great at identifying, interpreting, and helping to communicate patient needs. Co-workers and patients alike know they can depend upon Elia's medical knowledge and her high standards of care.
"Elia is an excellent role model and team leader who is well-respected by patients and her fellow team members," commented Shelly Graham, Director of Nursing at Memorial Hospital. "She is positive, takes initiative to do what is best, and genuinely loves caring for her patients. We are so thankful Elia is a part of our team!"
Elia was presented with the Caring Kind Award at the Nebraska Hospital Association's Annual Convention in Omaha on October 18, 2024.
