MCHI Welcomes Kyle Shaffer, Physical Therapist

Kyle Shaffer, Physical Therapist, Memorial Community Health, Aurora NebraskaMemorial Community Health, Inc. (MCHI) in Aurora, Nebraska is pleased to announce that Kyle Shaffer, PT, has joined the organization's team of rehabilitation professionals. A graduate of Aurora High School, Kyle received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Nebraska Wesleyan, and graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Kyle is experienced in a range of physical therapy treatments to help patients reduce pain and restore and maintain physical function and mobility. He has in-depth knowledge of the body's biomechanics and works to get to the root cause and treat areas affected by illness, injury, or surgery. Kyle is certified in dry needling, a technique used to treat a variety of muscular impairments. He also specializes in vestibular rehabilitation to treat vertigo and help reduce dizziness, improve vision with head movements, improve balance, and reduce risk for falls in individuals with peripheral vestibular hypofunction.

"I am thankful for growing up in Aurora and have a great appreciation for the town, the surrounding communities, and the people who call this area home," commented Shaffer. "It's exciting to be a part of the MCHI team and collaborate with the variety of professionals who work to serve the healthcare needs of our community. Helping individuals improve function and getting them back to doing what they enjoy is rewarding, and I'm pleased I can do that right here in my home town."

Kyle and his wife, Ericka, live in Aurora and have four children: Hudson, Sam, Lucas, and Jude. In his free time, Kyle enjoys anything sports related, being involved in his church, and heading to Johnson Lake in the summer.
