Groundbreaking for new Memorial Health Clinic in Clay Center

Published on October 1, 2018

A groundbreaking ceremony for Memorial Community Health’s new medical clinic in Clay Center will be held Tuesday, October 16th at 9 a.m.   The new clinic will replace the current structure and will be built at the same location at 319 W. Glenvil.

The event will include a ceremonial groundbreaking with remarks by Memorial Community Health board member and Clay Center resident Ken Spray and CEO Diane Keller.  Chief Construction is the contractor for constructing the new clinic.

“We have a long history of providing vital healthcare to the Clay Center community,” says Keller.  “I am excited that we are ready to move forward with an updated facility that compliments the high level of care given by our providers.”

Current healthcare providers who see patients in Clay Center include Dr. Michael Sullivan, Dr. Mark Jobman, Dr. Scott Johnson, Holly Solt, PA-C, and Katelyn Thiele, PA-C.  Dr. Jennifer Harney will be joining Memorial Health Clinic in late November following her residency, and will see patients in Clay Center early next year as well.

Having grown up in Clay County, Dr. Michael Sullivan recalls that his father and many community leaders were involved in building and helping to staff the current clinic.  “It was a great addition to the community then, and it’s great to see that continued family healthcare will be provided far into the future with the construction of our new clinic,” says Sullivan.

Estimated completion of the new clinic building is early summer 2019.

The community is invited to attend the Groundbreaking event.  Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
