Mental Health - Behavioral Health Counseling

Behavioral Health services provide counseling through interpersonal communications and analysis to help achieve cognitive, behavioral, and emotional wellbeing.

Central Nebraska Mental Health offers both in-person and virtual therapy.

Services include mental health counseling, assessments and diagnosis, substance use treatment and evaluations, psychoeducational services, and family and marriage counseling services. The clinician's primary focuses include generational trauma, addiction treatment strategies, issues facing rural residents, anxiety and depression, and suicide prevention.

Examples of when you may need mental health services:

  • Depressed mood interfering with the ability to perform daily duties such as work, school, or parenting
  • Inability to find motivation for things you once enjoyed
  • Excessive worry with inability to redirect thoughts
  • Muscle fatigue, pain, stomach problems, headaches, neck pain, and uneasiness that physical causes cannot explain
  • Increased irritability or sensitivity to noises or overstimulating environments
  • Suggestions from loved ones to talk to someone
  • Increased instances of crying
  • Disruptions in sleep (sleeping too much, inability to fall asleep or stay asleep, or waking up restlessly or having disturbing dreams)
  • Inability to cope with distressing life events such as death of a loved one, divorce, accident, etc.
